SPREADING THE HEAT

Aside from our Eco-tising initiative, we are dedicated to giving back to the Indianapolis community. We always try and take a step back and remain thankful for our successes and where we are today. We feel that it is our responsibility as a company to give back and lend a helping hand when possible. We not only do this through our continued work with a variety of non-profit organizations, but also through volunteerism and donations. In the past year, we have dedicated time and funding to the following organizations:

  • Cancer Free Lungs

This local organization wants you to know what it means to "breathe forward". Cancer Free Lungs is a non-profit organization that focuses on the prevention of lung cancer by educating Indiana youth on the dangers of smoking before they start. They hold annual fundraising events to support their efforts. As a company whose families have been effected by lung cancer, we are huge supporters of CFL's efforts. We were thrilled to be a part of the fundraising efforts last year, providing print collateral and signage, along with a booth at the event, and look forward to future opportunities.

  • Friends of Ferdinand

Rescue efforts come in all sizes for our animal friends. FFI is a non-profit organization striving to promote animal welfare and education, particularly for retiring racehorses. They rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home horses who would otherwise lose their lives. To help with rising costs, FFI holds an annual Rockin' the Racehorse fundraising dinner and auction sponsored by the Tony Stewart Foundation. We were thrilled and honored to help sponsor the 2010 event with signage, event programs, and table cards which raised over $6,000!

  • Habitat for Humanity

Helping to eliminate poverty housing from Indiana is an admirable endeavor, on so many levels. As a yearly donor, Matchbook is excited about all the wonderful things Habitat is doing - bringing people together from all backgrounds, races, and religions to build houses for families in need. We look forward to future opportunities to raise our collective hammers!

  • Humane Society

What can we say, we are just huge animal lovers. Our office dog, Randall, can attest to that (he gets lots of extra hugs being around here!) But we wanted to do more for Indiana's animals, so we sponsor a kennel at the Humane Society of Hamilton County. We encourage everyone to help if they can - these animals truly need our love.

  • ITA

These Thoroughbreds can do more than run around a track! ITA is a non-profit organization supporting the Thoroughbred horse in all disciplines. It was newly formed in 2010, and Matchbook was pleased to help with building their new brand with a logo and print collateral. Look for more on this wonderful organization as they continue to grow and aid Thoroughbreds in need of new homes and new careers.

  • Mustangs Baseball

Helping future generations is what it's all about, isn't it? The Mustangs Baseball Organization helps kids learn the fundamental skills, strategies, and tactics of baseball in a competitive, fun, and exciting environment. Matchbook is proud to support Mustangs Baseball to help our kids grow in skill and confidence while having fun and being active.

  • Jameson Camp

Helping our youth to get outside and grow inside is Jameson Camp - an award-winning, fully accredited non-profit camp that strives to enrich the lives of children who otherwise could not afford to go to camp. The setting is beautiful, the counselors are fantastic, and the experiences are real and life-lasting. We helped Jameson Camp in the design and development of their new website and there is excitement in the air! See what all the excitement is about!

  • NAWBO

Hear the unified voice of America's women-business owners! NAWBO is a national organization with local state chapters providing a one-stop resource to help propel women business owners into greater economical, social and political spheres worldwide. The Indianapolis chapter's annual awards luncheon has grown tremendously over the past years. Matchbook, as a women owned business and member, has sponsored the luncheon with branding and creative materials for several years.

  • NOWIB

The Network of Women in Business is a local organization comprised of Indiana businesswomen from a diverse set of backgrounds coming together for the common purpose of serving as a resource for professional development to other women. As a member, Matchbook was happy to assist in creating a new logo for the organization, along with event planning and creative production for their annual luncheon.

  • Oranje

A showcase for local talent? You bet! Oranje Art & Music Expo is an annual event showcasing Indiana's huge cache of artists and musicians. Matchbook has been a sponsor of this exciting event for the past few years, providing advertising and print collateral as well as our own booth. Last year we had the Tweet Lounge with a prize for best tweet. This year? You'll just have to come to the event and find out!

  • The Salvation Army - Indiana Division

Meeting the humanitarian needs of the hurting, hungry, and homeless, the Salvation Army is the world's largest non-profit charity organization. Matchbook is honored to be a part of this effort with volunteer opportunities as well as creative solutions to encourage people to give back. We believe in their mission and support their ministry in an effort to help them "shoulder the needs of humanity."

  • USGBC (Indiana Building Green Symposium)

Endeavoring to make green building mainstream. For the past three years, Matchbook has branded and provided creative and marketing strategies for USGBC's Indiana Building Green Symposium to help educate, promote awareness, and facilitate and expedite the shift toward sustainable building practices in Indiana. It is the hope of Indiana Building Green that every attendee gains a better understanding of green principles and their applications.

  • Young Audiences

Dance, music, multi-arts, storytelling, and theatre - a child's dream! Inspiring education through the arts, Young Audiences empowers children to achieve their creative and intellectual potential through arts in education. Matchbook's team has helped promote this inspiring organization with the design and development of their website that captures the spirit of both artist and child.
