| Keeper Ryan Brodfuehrer BORN: Columbus, Indiana; United States DOB: 07/17/1968 AKA "RYAN-O" | Ryan-O has been one of Old Yeller's best keeper and is known for making some of the most impossible saves during matches. A boyhood friend of The Old Yeller, Ryan-O was said to be a good CM back in the day, and even gets out on the pitch and flashes signs of brilliance when out there. Ryan-O has won several games for O.Y.F.C. on his own and has also been one the club's most consistent players. (only missing when hurt severely) Former Clubs include: Columbus East H.S. | Striker Darlene Pritchard BORN: Evansville, IN; United States DOB: 09/17/1981 AKA "D" | The most aggressive player on the pitch, game in game out. Opponents shake in there boots when "D" starts coming. Darlene is a fierce competitor who is also a hell of goal scorer, most likely the club's all time leading female scorer. | Midfield-Striker Matt Correll 'Midas' BORN: Seymour, Indiana; United States DOB: 10/27/75 SUPPORTS: Manchester United (EPL) AKA "HASSELHOFF" | Midas was nicknamed by (former O.Y.F.C. player) Jeff Graham who compared Midas's approach to a shot to be similar to David Hasselhoff's slow motion beach jog on the the popular show "BayWatch". But, like the great Brazilians, Midas is also known by one name in the circle of Old Yeller; The original Black Hole of O.Y.F.C. The ball would go in and never come back out. That, however, was a long time ago. As one of the founding father's of the club, Midas is also most likely the club's all time leading goal scorer and is certainly one of O.Y.F.C.'s biggest supporters. Midas regularly checks the site for updates while training in the hills of Romania during his off season. His training is the exact regimen that Rocky used in Russia during Rocky 4, except it is in Romania, where he runs like Dracula is chasing him. Former Clubs include: Seymour Cyclones Macho F.C. | Defender-Keeper Gregg Gormal BORN: Indianapolis, Indiana; United States DOB: 10/20/1976 SUPPORTS: US National Team, Glasgow Rangers (SPL) & Manchester United (EPL) AKA "Stone Wall" | Gregg grew up with two Scottish parents and never touched a soccer ball until he was 30. WTF? Tortured by his family for being a pussy and playing that other football, Gregg finally opened his eyes and picked up a soccer ball. Now he is hooked on soccer like a junky on crack. Gregg has turned into the ultimate teammate who rarely misses a game and even stepping in goal when needed. He is fierce and sacrifices his body time and time again for the sake of the club. A hard nosed defender when on the pitch, Gregg enjoys the physical contact, and is one of our best marking backs. He sticks to opponents like mayo to a sandwich! | Midfield-Striker Kevin Gormal BORN: Indianapolis, Indiana; United States DOB: 06/06/1981 SUPPORTS: US National Team, Glasgow Rangers (SPL) & Manchester United (EPL), Fulham F.C. (EPL) AKA "MAC-Gormal" | Kevin, the ipod master and the creator of this incredible website, is also among the career leaders in goals for O.Y.F.C. Kevin has came along way since his days as a young lad with O.Y.F.C. in its founding years. Always a solid player, and a lethally accurate goal scorer, Kevin's interest faded in and out like his desire to mark people. Now a full-hearted Old Yellerian who lives and breathes for O.Y.F.C. | Defender Chris Morlock BORN:Columbus, Indiana; United States DOB: 07/28/1965 SUPPORTS: Manchester United (EPL) AKA "THE OLD YELLER" | The man for which the club was basically named after (see the history). Morlock, the crafty veteran of O.Y.F.C., is also its most consistent player and strongest defender through the years. Even though the competition stays the same age, Morlock gets older, and older, or I mean wiser and wiser. The man is sound as a pound, and shows no sign of slowing down, well no signs of losing his skills. Former Clubs include: Columbus H.S. | Midfielder-Defender Gavin Teevan BORN: Danbury, Connecticut ; United States DOB: 07/19/1977 SUPPORTS: Manchester United (EPL), US National Team, Ireland National Team AKA "Club Foot" | Gavin, nicknamed by his college teammate Midas for having two bricks on his feet during some games, also suffers from GSD (Goal Scoring Deficiency). A serious disease that affects many Americans. With the club feet and GSD, Gavin was forced to focus on other facets of his game, and cares less about goals but hates to lose. He claims he lost enough games in college to last a lifetime, so now he expects the team to win every game. Unfortunately, Gavin has scared off several O.Y.F.C. players over the years with his competitiveness, to put it nicely. However, his main goal is to keep O.Y.F.C. a family, and to keep playing session after session (and winning session after session). Gavin serves as the current O.Y.F.C. Captain and General Manager. | Striker Paul Newman BORN: Pretoria; South Africa DOB: 02/28/1983 SUPPORTS: Liverpool F.C. (EPL) This import came to O.Y.F.C. from South Africa. Luckily for us he put the racket down as a former D-1 tennis player, and went back to his grass roots, or in this case his turf roots. Paul, when 1st arriving at the club, was the new Midas, meaning he was the Black Hole 2.0. Newman quickly adapted to his new teammates and is one of O.Y.F.C's best playmakers who is willing to do whatever for the team. Paul is fastly ascending to the top of all time goal scoring leaders. | Midfielder Brian Shearer BORN: XXXX; United States DOB: XX/XX/1980 SUPPORTS: XXXX Yet another Lawrence Central Bear on the squad. This must be why we are so good! Shearer grew up playing with Kevin, and getting drilled during practice by coach Mr. Gormal. That is where Shearer learned that there is only one way to play, and that is hard. Relatively new to O.Y.F.C., he has been a great addition, and has not yet had the unfortunate feeling of ever losing a session while on the team. Former Clubs include: Saints F.C. | Midfielder-Striker Jen Wessel BORN: St. Louis, Missouri; United States DOB: 01/04/1980 AKA "Jay-Weeezie" | Jen came to O.Y.F.C. by way of her neighbor and former O.Y.F.C. player Marty Gelozin. The club has been better ever since. Although she plays with only one foot, that left foot is dangerous. One of the most skilled girls ever to wear the Yellow and Blue, Weeezie is also one its best scouts. In fact, Weeezie has her own developmental team going with 2 little future Old Yellerian's at home going through drills and conditioning everyday so they too can be a Old Yeller great like their Mom. | Striker Mark 'Wheels' Wheelock BORN: Brook, IN; United States DOB: 10/14/1976 SUPPORTS: US National Team AKA "Wheels" | Wheels honed his skills will playing hackie sack with the hippies at Franklin College. There, he was also the trainer for Midas and Gavin. While training with the Men's soccer team, he and Midas formed a close bond and sooner or later he was talked into playing indoor with us. He took to it like a duck to water. This 6'6" daddy long legged sucker uses his long legs to cut down angles and give opponents fits when trying to get past him. Using what the good Lord blessed him with, Wheels is an assassin in the air by lodging several headers past many goalies over the years. | Midfielder-Defender Liz Goodwin BORN: Indianapolis, Indiana; United States DOB: 06/15/1985 The best female defender period. The best defender on the team right now period. Liz came to us by way of Shearer and we are very thankfully. Liz is not only a great defender, but known to get loose with the ball and show us her cheekie side by leaving defenders in there wake with her ball skills. Liz may be very slinder in stature, but is very big in ability and toughness. Rarely does the woman lose a tackle. Former Clubs include: Saints F.C. Dynamo F.C. Lawrence North H.S.
